There may be times you have a song with licks and fills that can cause the Chords generated by Chord ID to be busier than you like. Alternatively sometimes it just may not always get the right chord. Sometimes the timing could be off, etc. This tutorial has a few things to consider to assist in getting the results you may want from the chord track.
In this particular case for me the way I played the guitar riff, the chord track was grabbing chords that led to the bass or piano doing things I didn’t want. There are cases where you just want a straight forward Major or Minor chord in the chord track so the bass or keyboard player doesn’t play a note that clashes or something too complex for the part.
In this particular case because I have two guitar tracks in the project, I tried first the left then the right guitar track. Another option is quickly recording some simplified version of the chords on another track and letting Chord ID analyze those instead. I demonstrate these processes in this tutorial.
