LogicBand Is Now The Blind Logic Pro!
A new Name That Reflects The Goals Of Assisting Blind Musicians And Producers In Becoming A Pro At Using Logic!
If you tried visiting the LogicBand website recently or if you are signed up to receive emails from LogicBand and received the previous email about the upcoming Logic Pro Update, then you may have noticed that the name has changed to The Blind Logic Pro. Also at the time of switching the name, I switched from my previous website and email list provider to Substack. This is due to Substack being a great all in one platform for writing post and having it published to the website, and be emailed to your subscribers all at once. So if you were already subscribed to the LogicBand email list then nothing changes for you as you will continue to receive all emails from LogicBand or now TheBlindLogicPro. The Youtube channel is still alive and well also. This switch is more to streamline my workflow for sharing tutorials going forward. So now when I publish a tutorial, it will be on TheBlindLogicPro site, in your inbox and if it’s a video tutorial also on Youtube.
Substack also has an app where you can follow TheBlindLogicPro and find other writers of interest to follow and the app will notify you when they have posted new content as well. The Substack app also has a feature where you can have the post read aloud to you. Commenting on the post and chatting is also available in both the app, or from the website if you sign into your Substack account when you visit TheBlindLogicPro website. Another cool feature of Substack is it puts a table of contents option at the top of the post so you can jump to different sections of the post if it’s a long one and it’s broken appropriately into sections.
Something new I’ll be doing as well is setting up a couple of additional email newsletters. One will be a newsletter just for Youtube channel Members. SO sign up here to be notified when new member only tutorials are available. This could be more beneficial than Youtube’s seemingly random notifications when they are posted. For clarification anyone can sign up to be notified when new member’s area tutorials go live, you just won’t be able to watch the tutorials unless you are logged into Youtube and you are a channel member.
The second one will be for my daily challenge emails. In an effort to make more music this year and to encourage us all to work on more music, each day I’ll try to work on a song for a little bit, roughly about 10 minutes or so a day. This is to hopefully demonstrate that slow and steady progress will assist us in accomplishing more. SO if you are someone who doesn’t always have plenty of time to work on music, but wish you got more music done, subscribe and follow along with the daily accountability challenge.
So Why The Name Change?
As much as I liked the name LogicBand, I wanted a name that instantly let you know what you were getting if you sign up to the newsletter or saw one of my tutorials. I wanted a name that reflected my goals and mindset for the channel and newsletter. Since I started this six years ago, my goal has always been to help blind musicians, producers, engineers, artist, etc learn to use Logic quickly and efficiently and to get to the point where they are using it like a Pro. It’s not so much that I am the Blind Logic Pro, but more this is the place where you can learn to become a pro at using Logic if you are blind. I have some new plans to refocus my efforts on delivering on that goal with less distractions, this year and so it felt like the right time to move forward with the new name. However, the name LogicBand isn’t going anywhere, you may notice that the discord server and the page to book one on one training still say LogicBand and thats because those are places that don’t just focus on Logic, but also Mac OS, VoiceOver and other related topics. More on this coming soon.
The TLDR

Hey, I'm 72. Give me a break! Rueful blush. My problem is, I can't remember where I've pledged support, where I haven't, and where I've pledged multiple times as between logic.band, theblindlogic.pro, discord, you tube, and substack. Blink. Scratching head. Am I forgetting anything?
So, how exactly do I check my member status? And if you wouldn't mind, your how many dollars for joining this and that is VERY confusing. Do I have to join everything and pay everything to get everything, or do some of those dollar amounts cover more than one thing? Would you mind checking my member statuses?Your pledge section is not clear at all, unless you changed it very recently? waggling eyebrows inquiringly
