Logic Pro 12’s Chord ID feature is utilized to get the chords out of an audio guitar track and add them to the global chord track. The chords are then edited and the bass tweaked slightly in session player editor. For an introduction to Chord ID, check out this tutorial.
how Chord ID works so here’s how it’s been working for me so far. Select the region you want to analyze and get the chords for. Then add those chords to the global chord track. Lastly I find setting the global track to show only the chord track helps when you want to edit the chords. In the future there will be an updated version of the LogicKeyboardNinja key commands file and Logic Magician, but this is what I assigned things to to test out chord ID.
